Sienna Rise Estate Solar Pathway lighting
Sienna Rise Estate Solar Pathway lighting
The Sienna Rise Estate, located in Melbourne’s northwest, is a burgeoning neighbourhood. The property group developing the area wanted a balance of green oasis and connected convenience. So working alongside Ausland, a Melbourne landscaping service, we developed a plan to introduce cutting-edge environmentally friendly landscaping, which included a solar lighting system – a first for the Bewired team. We opted to use Valen concrete-free pole footings, which do not require trenching, cabling or concrete. Engineered to be used with existing ground conditions, the Valen poles are purely standalone.
For the Sienna Rise Estate project, we installed 23 solar lighting poles along the community pathway, illuminating the entire distance efficiently. The Valen poles are simple to install and use with a lighting output similar to electrical lighting. Each pole is installed and raised by hand on poles up to 20m high. The solar lighting requires no power to run and is programmed to turn on at dusk and off at dawn. The pole’s four sides have solar panels, so the lighting captures light from all angles as the sun moves across the sky each day. Additionally, a battery in the pole saves power if the sun’s output is strong.
It was an install, set and forget job, and now the estate will have an illuminated pathway that maintains itself.
