We love a challenge at Bewired, so we were excited when the guys from Ace Contractors asked us to do the carpark lighting at the Puffing Billy Lakeside Visitor Centre. The Puffing Billy is an iconic piece of Victoria’s tourism, showcasing one of our beautiful national parks that many don’t see.

Located on the edge of the Wright Forest Bushland Reserve, the project would have some unique challenges. The first was the car park to be built on the side of a hill. Therefore, the Bewired team had to account for various grades of the land, make allowances for trees, utilise retaining walls and maneuver around roadways and an established building. The job required some serious expertise to install the light pole footings on the side of the hill, ensuring all areas of the carpark had light.

The Bewired team leaned on all of their expertise, and with some careful planning, we accomplished the feat.

Now guests can conveniently park and enjoy their train ride through the rainforests of Emerald Lake Park without a second thought.
