The Mentone Girls Grammar school field hockey/netball sports pitch is a true multi-purpose pitch. We kit out the pitch with ten 18m poles with 2 LED Philips Optivision fittings and a new KNX lighting control system to light up the entire pitch.

Aiming was vital for this project to prevent blind spots and light in the eyes of the players and spectators. While typically a minor aspect of light installations, aiming for sports fields can significantly impact performance. Lucky for us, the scenic views of Port Philip Bay were a definite perk when aiming for this project!

With an eye on the time, we finished this project quickly to ensure the girls at the school could keep active with their sports and recreational activities. After we illuminated the multi-purpose sports pitch, we added lights to the school’s carpark. This ensured that parent pick-ups and employees of the school could access their vehicles day or night safely.
