Croydon Town Centre Lighting

Project

Croydon Town Centre Lighting

Our focus for the Croydon Town Centre was to make the space an aesthetically pleasing, safe, people-focused space that gives the community a location to enjoy the vibrancy of the Croydon CBD whilst creating a flexible community space for events.

By adding nine new 8m light poles, in-ground lighting, seat lighting and general power, we created spaces for locals to meet and enjoy the town centre. Additionally, the new main switchboard we added illuminates the precinct at night, keeping it safe and secure for everyone to enjoy in the twilight hours.

One of this project’s unique aspects was adding light and power to the DDA-compliant toilet block. While the focus was on the lighting, we had the opportunity to make the toilet block aesthetically pleasing, making something aesthetically pleasing that would otherwise be an eyesore.

Lighting town centres is a true joy for us at Bewired as we feel lighting connects people and places.
